The Consumer Electronics Association has begun accepting entries for the 2011 International CES Innovations Design and Engineering Awards. This industry-recognized annual competition honors outstanding design and engineering in 35 consumer electronics product categories.
Nominations will be accepted through September 24, 2010, and the honorees will be announced on November 9, 2010 at the New York Press Review. They will then be showcased at the 2011 International CES, January 6 – 9, 2011.
This year, two new product categories have been added to recognize new industry trends – Major Home Appliances and Portable Home Appliances.
Submissions will be accepted through an entry portal collaboration system by mBLASt, which allows co-workers submitting nominations to combine their respective submissions and pre-populate basic nominee information.
Now in its 34th year, the Innovations Awards program gives product developers and manufacturers an opportunity to have their products evaluated by a top-level panel of engineers, independent designers and journalists.
